CARING FOR YOUR FR GARMENTS

Each type of flame-resistant fabric demands for special care instructions specific to it's needs. It is important to carefully follow the manufacturer’s care label when laundering FR garments. NOT LAUNDERING PROPERLY can hinder the garments' wear life & fire-resistant properties. Many FR fabrics require mild wash and dry conditions to maximize the life of the garment. Generally, however, all FR fabrics and garments require the same basic care:

• Wash new FR garments before wearing.

• Wash FR garments separate from your standard clothing.

• Do not use chlorine bleach.

• Before each wear make sure your FR garments are clean and in proper state of repair.

• Make sure to remove all oils and flammable contaminants from your FR garments. Flammable contaminants may act as a fuel source, increasing the potential severity of a possible burn injury.

REPAIRING YOUR FR GARMENTS

FR garments should be repaired using “like FR materials.” ONLY like FR fabrics, threads and garment components should be used when repairing an FR garment. We recommend you return garments to the manufacturer for repair, or use an authorized FR repair facility.
